HETAC OUTSTANDING TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Through individual nominations, exemplary teachers are selected to be honored
by their colleagues and HETAC. The award is presented at the annual Leadership
and Management Conference. These educators have demonstrated commitment
to Home Economics Careers and Technology as a discipline, to their schools
as visionary leaders, and to their students as exceptional role models.
They represent and reflect the best of our profession in the classroom,
at school, and within the communities they serve.

DREAM, DARE, DO
AWARD
This award recognizes and honors Home Economics Careers and Technology
teachers who make an extra effort to enhance their local programs with
innovative projects and techniques. Numerous outstanding instructors and
FHA-HERO advisors continue to be selected as "going the extra mile"
to practice and act on great dreams and ideas.

NEW PROFESSIONAL AWARD
This award recognizes a current HETAC member with less than 5 years of
classroom experience teaching Home Economics Careers and Technology in
a secondary school or in an ROCP funded program. The winner will be selected
based on their involvement and contributions to the field. This award is
presented annually at Leadership and Management; the winner must be present.
